Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
Junior scholars who are affiliated with an accredited European university, who have received the Ph.D. degree within five years of the date of application, and who do not hold full-time salaried positions may apply for postdoctoral research fellowships. All applicants must have their doctoral degree in hand or submit proof of the completion of their thesis defense. Postdoctoral research fellowships are given for no more than two years. The maximum amount of each grant is EUR21,000 per year. Only applications deemed to be truly outstanding will be awarded two-year fellowships.
Preference will be given to postdoctoral fellows who are affiliated with and supported by an established center or association of Chinese Studies other than the one at which they completed the Ph.D. PD grants may be used either to revise a doctoral dissertation for publication or to start a new research project.
