The documentary Yaodong, petit traite de construction has been awarded the Intangible Cultural Heritage Prize by France’s Ministry of Culture and Communication

The Foundation is proud to announce that the documentary Yaodong, petit traite de construction, one result of the three-year Research Grant entitled “Professional Cultures and the Transmission of Specialized Knowledge: Artisans and Merchants in Local Society” (funded from 2006 to 2009), has been awarded the Intangible Cultural Heritage Prize by France’s Ministry of Culture and Communication. In addition, this documentary was shown at the Jean Rouch International Film Festival in November 2012.
